WELCOME TO OUR CHURCH

OUR PASTORS

Pastor Reginald Walker and his lovely wife Min. Sherry are from Detroit, MI. The two of them have been a part of Word of Faith International Christian Center Ministries for over 35 years. The first eleven of those years were spent in Detroit, MI where they faithfully served together in the Children's Ministry.

In 1990, Pastor Walker accepted God's call to the ministry and attended the then Word of Faith School of Ministry from which he graduated with high honors in 1992. In August 1995, they answered the call of God to move to Jackson, MS and assist with the start of Word of Faith-Jackson now (Faith4Life). While at Word of Faith – Jackson, Pastor Walker served as the Children's and Youth Minister while Min. Sherry established the Nursery Ministry.

Pastor Walker was promoted to full time Assistant Pastor in September 1997 and served faithfully until January 2001 when the Lord promoted him to the next phase of his ministry. He and Min. Sherry now serve as Senior Pastors of Word of Faith Christian Center – Vicksburg.

Under their leadership, Word of Faith-Vicksburg has continued to thrive. The Ministry's current home is an 18,000 sq. ft. facility resting on just more than 7.5 acres. Pastor and Min. Walker have been happily married for nearly 40 years. A significant part of their ministry is in ministering to married couples. They believe that with God's grace and each partner's submission, every marriage can thrive. They have two sons, Reginald II (Carmen), Stephen and five grandchildren - Danielle, Reginald III, Joseph, Esa’Bella and Xander.

OUR HISTORY

What started out as a Bible Study group in 1996 is now Word of Faith Christian Center-Vicksburg, MS. Pastor Kevin E. Wright began conducting Bible Study at The Southern Cultural Heritage Center which soon moved to the Holiday Inn in Vicksburg. Before long, attendance had more than doubled; therefore, requiring a more suitable facility. Services then moved to the Emmich Building where nearly 100 people came to hear the Word of God. While at the Emmich Building, the once weekly bible study expanded to include church services on Sunday mornings as well. Within a year, the word spread throughout the River City and once again expansion was inevitable.

Word of Faith Christian Center, Vicksburg, MS was officially dedicated on April 25, 1999. At that time, its founder, Rev. Kevin E. Wright was the Senior Pastor. Rev. Wright installed Rev. Reginald L. Walker as Senior Pastor of Word of Faith Christian Center-Vicksburg, MS in January 2001.

God's faithfulness has continued to shine in Vicksburg under Pastor Walker's leadership. The ministry has continued to thrive. Word of Faith-Vicksburg now holds its services in a beautiful 18,000 square feet facility that sits on over 7.5 acres of land.

WHAT WE BELIEVE & PREACH

  •  That the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God;

  •  In the trinity of God – the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit

  • All have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation. Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all who will receive.

  • That the infilling of the Holy Spirit is an experience subsequent to salvation, and is the will of God that all be filled.

  • Healing is provided in the redemptive Work of Christ and is available to every believer.

  • The church consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

  • There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and unjust.

  • In the personal, visible, imminent return of Jesus Christ.

  • In the water baptism, the observance of the Lord's supper.
